Live Generously

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

2 Corinthians 9:7

INVESTING IN THE KINGDOM

God has a big vision for us at Redwood. He wants us to join Him in His mission to see all people - EVERYONE - reconciled to Him, to themselves, to each other, and to the earth. When we give to the church, we are investing  into God’s Kingdom; our faith grows, lives are changed, and God shows up.

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT GIVING?

"The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it."  - Psalm 24:1

As followers of Jesus, we believe that everything - including money - belongs to God.  We also believe that we were created to bear His image. Before we were sinners we were stewards, and stewarding the earth and its resources - to care for it the way he cares for it - is one of the ways we reflect his likeness.  When we give generously, we are making a statement about who we worship; that every good gift comes from God who gives so generously to us.

"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" -Matthew 6:21

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE GIVE?

LIVES ARE CHANGED

The money you give makes everything we do possible - our kids and youth ministry, our programs, our Sunday services, our outreach, our foodbank.  God is using all of these to change lives. Check out these stories to hear the difference that Jesus has made. He is hope of the world, His is the gospel we live and proclaim. Giving generously makes a difference in our world, and it makes a difference in us as well. It is another way that we ourselves grow in faith and friendship with Jesus.

"God is always trying to give good things to us, but our hands are too full to receive them." - Saint Augustine

What are the different funds I can give to?
General Fund: At Redwood, we operate with a unified budget, which simply means that all funds and expenses are included in the same overall budget. When you give to the General Fund you are supporting everything we do: Ministries, Missions, and the Food Bank, as well as the operations of Redwood Park Church including grounds & building maintenance, operating costs and staff wages.

Benevolent Fund: This fund assists people in the congregation and community who are in need.
How do I change or cancel my automated giving?
E-transfer: Changes for recurring donations can be made through your online banking platform in your manage e-transfer action tab.

Online Giving: Changes to edit amount, date, frequency or to cancel can be made through your subsplash church profile by selecting your profile picture at the top right of either the app or the giving page.

P.A.D.: Changes or cancellations can be submitted via the P.A.D. Adjustment Form. Please note that advance notice is required to make changes or cancel pre-authorized debits.
What does "cover fees" mean for Online Giving?
When we use subsplash for online giving, a certain percentage of the donation goes to them (the processing fee for the transaction). This means when you send a gift, we do not receive the entire amount. If you select "Cover the Fees", it increases your gift slightly to cover the processing fees so that the entirety of your desired gift comes to the church.
How do I receive my tax receipt?
If you have provided your email address, links to download individual tax receipts will be emailed each February for donations in the previous year. If we do not have your email address, a hard copy will be mailed to your home address. If you would like to add or change your preferred email, please contact the office to ensure you receive your tax receipt without delay.
How do I update personal information in my donor profile?
If you would like to update an email address, home address or contact information you can update your profile on the Redwood subsplash app, email, or call the church office for assistance. If you give jointly with another donor, please let us know if it would be more convenient to have your giving profiles joined for your tax receipt.
