Here's a recap of Sunday's liturgy with scriptures, songs and other notable elements:

Who may climb the mountain of the LORD?
Open up, ancient gates!

Prayer for the Body of Christ
Song of Confession
The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it.
The world and all its people belong to him.
For he laid the earth’s foundation on the seasand built it on the ocean depths.
Who may climb the mountain of the LORD?
Who may stand in his holy place?
Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols
and never tell lies.
They will receive the LORD’s blessingand have a right relationship with God their savior.
Such people may seek youand worship in your presence, O God of Jacob.
Open up, ancient gates!
Open up, ancient doors,
and let the King of glory enter.
Who is the King of glory?The LORD, strong and mighty;
the LORD, invincible in battle.
Open up, ancient gates!Open up, ancient doors,
and let the King of glory enter.
Who is the King of glory? The LORD of Heaven’s Armies—
he is the King of glory.

• We are still in a season of kicking-off many of our ministries. This past week, we had a very fun Newcomer's Lunch. Our Young Adults had their first night and the vibes were good! Our Jr. & Sr. High Youth kicked-off with Ice Cream and 9-Square. Alpha began with some wonderful and meaningful conversations about life and faith.
• But there are still a few more things starting up: Practicing the Way is the study that our Small Groups, Redwood Park Men, and Young Adults will be walking through, so join one of those groups to learn how to walk as an apprentice of Jesus. Also, The Marriage Course is beginning in October, so visit the app or redwoodpark.ca/viewpoint for all the info.
• And if all of this has you excited about what God is doing in and through us, then consider becoming a member! Our next Membership Class is October. 6

• How Great Thou Art (traditional hymn arranged by Paul Baloche)
[On this particular Sunday we sang the under-sung 2nd verse and, as always, sang the N.T. Wright-suggested 4th verse lyric change, "When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation / and heal this earth / what joy shall fill my heart" to try to express more of the fullness of the gospel.]
