// CELEBRATING DECEMBER

BAPTISMS

In December we had the privilege of baptizing seven women that have become part of our Redwood Community! After taking part in the Starting Point course we offered this fall, they decided to take the next step in their faith and make a public declaration to begin a new life with Jesus! It was an amazing time to hear the unique stories of these women and their journey towards this monumental moment.

Overall in 2016, 40 people took the step to be baptized! We love being part of a church that rallies and champions around those that are growing into the people that God is calling us all to be!

CHRISTMAS SERVICES

Another amazing Christmas season is in the books! What a beautiful time to gather and celebrate the birth of Jesus and the hope of new life that He brings! Over the course of 5 services, we welcomed over 2500 people through our doors! The services wouldn’t have happened without the help of our dedicated volunteers that served in kids’ ministry, ushering, parking, hosting, hospitality, and music and technical teams. Thank you to all who served!

UNITED WAY CHRISTMAS OFFERING

Over the course of our 5 Christmas Services, we took an offering to give all proceeds to the United Way of Thunder Bay. We are thrilled to announce that we collected a total of $11,000! Thank you for your radical generosity and for investing in our city.

DILICO CHRISTMAS BAGS

Redwood once again partnered with Dilico for their Christmas Wish Bag Campaign! Dilico had over 700 bags to fill for children and youth between the ages of 0-18 years old. Redwood pledged to fill 175 of those bags and we are so grateful to see our church community rise to the challenge and come together to meet such a great local need.
